Events for the week of 3 to 9 June 2019.

Monday 3 June, in Romania, an informal meeting of agriculture ministers is held in Bucharest. The European Union’s Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Commissioner Karmenu Vella heads to Helsinki, Finland to delivers a speech at the opening of the 3rd World Circular Economy Forum.

Tuesday 4 June, President Jean-Claude Juncker and Frans Timmermans receive Ms Viorica Dăncilă, Prime Minister of Romania. Juncker will also be receiving Zoran Zaev, Prime Minister of North Macedonia and Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine. Commissioner Karmenu Vella heads to Torino, Italy to delivers a speech at the Air Quality Dialogue.

The Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs  Elżbieta Bieńkowska heads to Gdansk, Poland to participate in the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the 1st free elections in Poland in June 1989; participate in a debate on the role of the regional and local authorities in shaping the EU’s future, organized in memory of the former Mayor of the city of Gdansk Mr Pawel Adamowicz, together with Ms Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, Mayor of the city of Gdansk, Mr Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of the city of Warsaw, Mr Rafał Dutkiewicz, former Mayor of the city of Wroclaw and Mr Andrij Sadowyj, Mayor of the city of Lviw.

Wednesday 5 June, Meeting of the College of Commissioners, in Brussels.The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission Federica Mogherini receives Mr Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Thursday 6 June, President Jean-Claude Juncker participates in the Three Seas Initiative Summit, in Ljubljana, Slovenia then travels to Croatia for a meeting with  Mr Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia, in Dubrovnik.

Friday 7 June, Justice and Home Affairs Council meets. President Jean-Claude Juncker continues with his visit in Croatia where he meets Mr Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia, in Zagreb.Juncker will then hold a joint press conference with Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia, in Zagreb.
